Julie D. Cooper RWS

Julie was born in Hertfordshire. She lives in St Ives and works from her studio nearby. Her paintings have emerged from observations of natural forms and places she frequently visits surrounding her studio.

 

With the counterpoints of land and ever-changing sea and light, works have evolved from various starting points, the incidental, the in-between and high viewpoints. Julie adjusts the painting continually assembling rhythmic forms in a personal response to the landscape.

 

Julie has exhibited in group shows including The Society of Women Artists, Ing Discerning Eye and The Sunday Times Watercolour Competition at The Mall Galleries also Wells Art Contemporary, Royal West of England Academy and Beep Painting Biennial, Swansea.

Julie is a member of St Ives Society of Artists and Associate member of Penwith Society of Arts.
