Lighthouse, Orford Ness
Born in London in 1934, Martin went to Worthing Art School, and the Central School of Arts & Crafts, London. After a career in advertising and publishing he was a Lecturer at Hornsey College of Art for twenty years. Following publication of his first book, 'Comic & Curious Cats' he concentrated on painting and has had many one man exhibitions in London and St Ives. Twenty six books later, his work has been shown and is in Private Collections worldwide. He finds inspiration in the coastline, particularly Cornwall - as well as formal gardens and of course cats. Martin lives, paints and gardens at his home in Islington.
