Drawing is the bedrock of Julia’s work, sketchbooks provide subject matter which is developed into etchings. Horses and movement are important to her. She tries to invest the images with a sense of animation and life. Sugar lift and aquatint help to achieve this feeling. The aim is to entertain and intrigue.
