Lars Nyberg RE

Since he was seventeen years old Lars has been working with the drypoint technique. Sometimes he teaches in drypoint in Sweden or abroad but usually he works full time with his copperplates. To feel and hear the steel needle travelling in the copperplate is meditative music for Lars. The happy surprise of printmaking is, besides working with a unique media, that after a long period of thinking and scratching upon the copperplate, he can print extra copies from the plate, give away prints, or sell the prints not too expensively. There is something unpredictable working with drypoint, the inscribed lines live theirs own lives in the copper - Lars likes that.
