Mei Chen Tseng ARE

Mei Chen Tseng was born in Taiwan in 1977. She gained a BA degree in English literature in Fu-jen Catholic University in Taiwan, 1999 Master degree in painting in at the Academy of Fine Arts. Tseng lived and worked in Italy Rome and Florence from 1999 - 2007.

The experience of living and studying between Taiwan and Italy gives Tseng sensitiveness to more iconic, conceptual and spiritual kind of images. Italian art has great influences on her way of depicting forms, lights and shadows, and the love for wood engraving derives from her passion for literature and delicate details.
