Biography
Storm Approaching - Lake Maggiore
Paul Hawdon studied at St. Martin’s School of Art, the Royal Academy Schools and was a holder of the Prix de Rome in Printmaking. His work consists of large, heavily worked etchings, which explore contradictions between humanity and the power of nature. This work contrasts with smaller etchings, based upon observation, which experiment with the expressive boundaries of drawing.
